  • Our Church Decorating ministry is dedicated to transforming our sacred space for liturgical celebrations and seasonal feasts.   • The Adult Choir ministry unites voices in a shared mission to lift our hearts in worship.   • The Christ the King Eucharistic Procession Committee is entrusted with organizing one of our parish’s most meaningful liturgical expressions. This dedicated team carefully plans and leads the procession that celebrates the image of Christ the King alongside the Eucharist—symbols of our unity, faith, and divine providence. With reverence and precision, the committee transforms the procession into a moving expression of faith that invites every parishioner to participate in a public declaration of their devotion and commitment to Christ, our King.

  • Composed mainly of dedicated young people, the Altar Servers ministry assists the priest during Mass with reverence and precision. Their responsibilities—ranging from carrying sacred items to setting the altar—are carried out with joy and discipline. In serving at the altar, they learn the rich traditions of our Church while contributing significantly to the beauty of our liturgy. Many who pursue a vocation to the priesthood or religious life were once altar servers.

  • The Fête Dieu du Teche is an annual Eucharistic Procession and celebration that beautifully weaves together our deep Catholic traditions with the vibrant Cajun culture of Lafayette. Rooted in a spirit of both solemnity and festivity, this event—organized by the Community of Jesus Crucified—features a reverent procession of boats and lay faithful on the Bayou Teche worshipping the Blessed Sacrament alongside uplifting music, cultural performances, and local culinary delights. More than a festive gathering, Fête Dieu du Teche is a day of prayer, community fellowship, and cultural pride, inviting everyone to share in an experience that celebrates both our sacred liturgical heritage and the unique spirit of our region.

  • The Extraordinary Ministers ministry is comprised of parishioners commissioned to assist in the distribution of Holy Communion. Their careful and respectful service during Mass and special liturgical events ensures that this sacred sacrament is shared with reverence and devotion, reinforcing the unity of our community in Christ’s body.

  • The Altar Society financially supports the needs of the liturgy, the sanctuary, and the interior of the church. Members pay annual dues that cover the cost of altar cloths, vestments, hosts, candles, incense, and altar server albs and cassocks. For special liturgies, flowers and decor are also purchased. Members who are also interested in caring for the material by maintaining and cleaning can also serve through Martha’s Guild.

  • Martha’s Guild is a vital piece of the Altar Society. Inspired by the spirit of service exemplified by Martha in Scripture (Luke 10:38-42), this guild cares for the sacred vessels and liturgical linens. Working behind the scenes with meticulous detail, this group ensures that every element of the liturgical setting reflects the reverence due to the holy mysteries, contributing quietly yet powerfully to our worship experience.

  • The Funerals ministry offers compassionate support and pastoral care to families during times of loss. Working closely with the parish and clergy, this ministry prepares and conducts funeral liturgies that honor the life and faith of our loved ones. Their thoughtful service provides comfort and guidance, helping families find hope and solace in the promise of eternal life.

  • Entrusted with the care of our liturgical items and sacred spaces, the Sacristans ministry ensures that every Mass and celebration is conducted with the utmost reverence. Their diligent work—from setting up the altar to maintaining the vestments—helps preserve the sanctity of our worship environment and honors the traditions of our faith.

  • The Devotional Calendar Committee is responsible for planning and coordinating the liturgical and devotional life of our parish throughout the year.
